Disaster Recovery in Azure: 5-Week Implementation
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery in Azure helps organizations keep workloads and data safe.
AMTRA’s Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR) offering helps organizations build their BCDR strategy to keep workloads and data safe, and available during planned and unplanned downtime. Our offering uses Azure public cloud as a preferred Disaster Recovery location that provides a cost-effective infrastructure to replicate server images into the cloud and bring them online as and when required. AMTRA’s BCDR offering leverages multiple Azure native services over three (3) phases to help set up Azure as a DR location. Phase 1 involves assessing all the servers in scope to ensure their compatibility to run in Azure. In addition, we profile all servers to understand the bandwidth and storage requirements for successfully replicating workloads to Azure. Network Bandwidth requirements also identify if there is sufficient bandwidth available to replicate ongoing changes within the RPO/RTO thresholds. Phase 2 involves setting up replication of all the servers identified as compatible in Phase 1. Finally, Phase 3 involves creating runbooks to orchestrate Recovery Plan in a planned manner. Once the runbooks are ready, the AMTRA team will work with the customer to perform a simulated DR exercise in an isolated network using runbooks to ensure DR for servers is configured as desired. As a Microsoft CSP Tier 1 Partner, AMTRA will engage with Microsoft for potential partial funding of the engagement on behalf of its customers.
