About the Image:
Now you can enjoy the quick and hassle-free configuration of your workspaces with Kockpit’s pre-configured images. Kafka is a virtual machine image (VMI) created for Ubuntu (OS) that allows you to set up your machines within minutes.
In this VM Image, we have packed Apache Kafka, an open-source distributed event streaming platform used by thousands of companies for high-performance data pipelines, streaming analytics, data integration, and mission-critical applications. Here, we have added a Kafka server and Zookeeper so that you can customize it and use it according to your requirements.
The distribution of Apache Kafka is based on Linux and is provided by Kockpit Analytics Pvt. Ltd. Apache Kafka Image is designed for Production Environments on Azure.
Benefits of using Kafka VMI
- No Setup Required: The setup of Kafka is pre-configured by us, which takes a lot of your time.

- Example Provided: The image offers an example python script provided in the documentation, which can be helpful to you while checking the connection with Kafka.
- High Throughput: Deliver messages at network limited throughput using a machine with latencies as low as 2ms.
- Connect to Almost Anything: Kafka’s out-of-the-box Connect interface integrates with hundreds of event sources and event sinks, including Postgres, JMS, Elasticsearch, AWS S3, and more.
