Different scenario can be evaluated to migrate an on-premises SQL Server instance to a modern SQL Server instance :

• SQL Server instance hosted on an Azure Virtual Machine (IAAS / PAAS)
• SQL Server instance hosted on an Azure SQL database (SAAS)

The assesment is designed to prepare a proof-of-concept and the cloud migration.
