This solution accelerator is customizable to meet the specific needs of each factory. It acts as an open integration platform for manufacturing that connects, collects, and contextualizes data from various factory sources, providing advanced analytics and centralized insights.
NFM is a micro-service, cloud-based open integration data management solution, compliant with ANSI/ISA – 95, ISO 27001, NIST standards, that helps manufacturers improve their production operation performance, efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness. The solution is deployed in Microsoft Azure and leverages technologies such as digital twin, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality to deliver single, comprehensive source of truth on factory operations and performance, supporting decision making across five key areas: production, asset, material, utilities, and safety and workforce management.
Following are the modules that can be leveraged from the NFM solution. • Production management: NFM tracks factory output, targets, downtime, quality, and OEE metrics, and provides insights to optimize production processes and reduce waste. NFM enables to improve operational efficiency up to 25%. • Asset management: NFM monitors asset health, condition and facilitates preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize asset uptime and reliability. NFM enables to reduce machine/asset downtime up to 20% and improves asset and resource utilization up to 20%. • Material management: NFM tracks material flow from raw material to finished goods, and provides insights to optimize inventory, logistics, and supply chain management. • Utilities management: NFM monitors energy consumption, utilities asset performance and provides insights to optimize energy efficiency and forecast future needs. • Safety and workforce management: NFM monitors employee safety and health conditions, incidents and provides insights to enhance worker well-being and productivity.
NFM Integration Approach To help you leverage the benefits of NFM for your industry 4.0 journey, NTTDATA's 4D framework includes: • Demo phase: We start by showing a live demonstration of the solution with detailed capabilities and simulated data. This will help you envision how the solution can fit or enhance your organization's goals and challenges. • Discovery and assessment phase: In this phase, our manufacturing and technical experts visit your factory and assess the current state of operations. We conduct AS-IS state assessment of People, Process, Technology and Methods. • Design and development phase: We work with you to understand the To-Be state requirements, goals, and KPIs for factory transformation. This solution offering covers the following phases including: • Demonstration Phase – This phase allows NTT DATA to demonstrate the Nucleus for Manufacturing solution for the client to provide a better understanding of what capabilities and business value the NFM solution can provide. • Discovery and Assessment Phase – This 2-week phase is where NTT DATA works directly with the client to determine specific needs, the scope of the project, and architectural environment (including Microsoft Azure) in which the NFM solution will be used. During this process the teams will determine specific modules to be implemented and overall integration needs for the client.
