Parallo’s Architecture Assessment will evaluate the design and implementation of your Azure environment. Whether you are just starting with Azure or seeking to extend your current usage, our comprehensive assessment and strategic recommendations will guide you towards an high-performing, reliable, optimised, secure, and cost-effective cloud environment.

The Architecture assessment outcome is a report that provides recommendations for improvement, including any necessary modifications to the architecture, processes, or tools. The report can form the foundation of a roadmap for optimising your Azure infrastructure.

The recommendations may include a range of areas, such as:

  • Architecture: commentary on your Azure architecture, including the network topology, security configurations, resource utilisation, and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Modernisation: identification and recommendations to transition Service (IaaS) components such as VMs to modern or alternative Platform as a Service (PaaS) or Software as a Service (SaaS) services to reduce operational overhead and increase efficiency and security.
  • Security: identify vulnerabilities and hardening opportunities with your overall security, including access controls, encryption, and network security measures. This may also include conditional access, multi-factor authentication and zero-trust architecture.
  • Cost optimisation: cost optimisation opportunities, including utilsing reserved instances, auto-scaling, and other cost-saving measures.
  • Performance: architecture options to improve performance, including response times, resource utilisation, and capacity planning, addressing performance bottlenecks and single points of failure.
  • Design Patterns: references to applicable cloud design patterns to help improve the performance, reliability, scalability, and security of applications.
  • Documentation: high-level architecture diagrams to depict current and target state components as required.

After the assessment, a follow-up Statement of Work can be requested and scheduled, such as:

  • Remediation Work: address security, performance, and reliability issues
  • Architecture Project: produce a roadmap and supporting diagrams of the current, interim and target state architecture to meet your business goals. Design and implement new services such as a Web Application Firewall for improved security, high-availability architecture for improved reliability, caching and content delivery network for improved performance and a disaster recovery handbook for improved business continuity.
