Azure Migration Engagement Solution Assessment - 4 Week Assessment

Microsoft’s Solution Assessments are personalized, Microsoft-funded programs* that assess a customer’s data landscape, analyze the deployed environment and provide insights for recommendations. The Azure Migration Engagement Assessment helps customers take the first step in their migration once planning is complete. The Assessment provides a comprehensive review of customer’s infrastructure and databases which helps prioritize initial migration workloads to the cloud​.

ACTIVITIES TO BE COMPLETED:

1. Planning • Discovery: VM/DB including physical servers and desktops if WVD scenarios are involved • Coverage: Windows Server, SQL Server, Linux, OSS DB • Partner Profile: Azure Expert MSP/Azure Advanced Specialization on Win SQL Server or Linux OSS DB

2. Comprehensive data approach for Assessment ​ • A comprehensive discovery of the customer’s existing VM, databases and all physical servers (Win Server, SQL Server, Linux and OSS DB) • Relevant performance data and utilization such as CPU, network, RAM, disk and storage • Collect desktop inventory if WVD is the scope

3. Data Analysis • A comprehensive discovery of the customer’s existing VM, databases and all physical servers (Win Server, SQL Server, Linux and OSS DB) • Relevant performance data and utilization such as CPU, network, RAM, disk and storage • Collect desktop inventory if WVD is the scope

4. Implement a strategic plan created for your cloud journey • Recommendation on next steps • Migration plan

KEY DELIVERABLES:

Insights, analysis and recommendations for moving to Azure with: • Executive Summary, customer’s cloud readiness ratification and prioritization of workloads to move to azure

Insights, analysis and recommendations for moving to Azure with: • 3-5 year; TCO analysis • Cost benefit for different migration options including AHUB/RI benefit​
