Microsoft Azure and XenDesktop Essentials Proof of Concept
XenDesktop Essentials from Citrix empowers employees to get their work done wherever they are and whatever device they are using. By using virtual desktops running in Microsoft Azure, businesses have all the benefits of the rich Windows 10 interface while ensuring their applications and data remains secure within confines of the data centre.
These factors make XenDesktop Essentials the ideal solution for remote access, business continuity and disaster recovery scenarios. At the same time, thousands of business around the world rely on XenDesktop for their day to day work.
During this Proof of Concept engagement, Meritum Cloud will brief the client on XenDesktop Essentials and carry out a discovery workshop to identify the business, technical and functional requirements. Based on the output, we will discuss and document the proof of concept objectives, deliverables and success criteria so that the customer understands what the outcome of the PoC will be.
Meritum cloud will build an Azure tenant for the customer, a basic VDI image, and configure the XenDesktop essentials according to best practise. NetScaler Gateway as a service will be configure for remote access. Virtual networking will be configured in Azure and connected the customer's on-premises network. An Active Directory domain controller will be built for authentication
A key part of this proof of concept offering is transferring knowledge to customer's IT teams. Meritum Cloud will work with existing IT personnel to upskill them as much as possible once the PoC has been concluded.
