Now2Cloud CAF: 4-Week Assessment

Microland’s Now2Cloud service enabled by our Now2Cloud Readiness Assessment Framework helps enterprises evaluate and make the right choice by leveraging cloud technologies optimally, to maximize business benefits in alignment to Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure. Microland’s cloud experts use Azure CAF guidelines/tools such as Azure Migrate, Data Migration Assessment (DMA), SQL Server Migration Assessment (SSMA) and other proprietary toolkits to ensure that the assessment is undertaken in a comprehensive, structured, and objective manner.

Agenda & Deliverables:

Week 1: Meetings & interactions with key stakeholders to understand key business drivers, IT objectives and current challenges & pain areas. Assessment of on-premises & cloud workloads and existing IT infrastructure and operations by interviews and manual data collection.

Deliverables: Business Requirements Document, Technical Baseline Document

Week 2-3: Current application / workload performance capture by setting up automated data collection tools and/or manual questionnaires. Identifying the right candidate for cloud migration or optimization by analyzing the dependent components associated with the candidate. Mapping the probable candidate with available cloud components and mapping security need.

Deliverables: Migration Readiness Assessment

Week 4: Preparation & presentation of recommended solutions to key stakeholders.

Deliverables: Assessment Results, Migration Plan and Proposed Azure Spend Estimate
