Use Netskope to leverage Microsoft Information Protection for DLP and encryption policies globally.
Netskope leverages the Microsoft Azure Information Protection and Microsoft Information Protection feature sets available to E3 and E5 customers, to scan encrypted or unencrypted files for DLP policy matching content. This content can be stored in Microsoft cloud services, as well as many non-Microsoft cloud storage solutions and Internet services, including Google Drive, Box, and Dropbox. Netskope can also trigger (re)encryption by MIP based on labels or discovered content. Lastly, Netskope can use AIP labels as well as the encryption (or lack thereof) of content using MIP technology as an additional criteria for policy match and enforcement, potentially preventing the sharing of files in real-time and using many means that have not been appropriately labeled or encrypted. Essentially, Netskope can ensure MIP is used to protect data within most direct-to-Internet transactions to avoid the possibility of Microsoft customers losing control who can access the sensitive data through the document’s lifecycle and wherever it may end up.
