LBAN Business Continuity Fortifier tends to fortify your disaster recovery plans through the following steps:
Planning and Assessment of server environment: -Identify critical applications and workloads for business continuity. -Assess current on-premises infrastructure and network setup. -Establish Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
Set Up Azure Environment: -Ensure you have an active Azure subscription. -Create a Recovery Services vault in the Azure portal.
Prepare Source Environment: -Install the Azure Site Recovery provider and Recovery Services agent on on-premises machines. -Configure Hyper-V or VMware host servers for ASR if applicable.
Configure Replication: -Define replication policies, including RPO and retention settings. -Select machines to replicate and apply the replication policy. -Start the initial replication process to create data copies in Azure.
Set Up Network: -Create and configure a virtual network in Azure for replicated machines. -Ensure network setup supports connectivity for failover scenarios.
Create and Customize Recovery Plans: -Define recovery steps and the order of failover for applications and workloads. -Add scripts and manual actions to automate recovery processes if needed.
Test Failover: -Regularly perform test failovers to validate recovery plans without impacting production. -Ensure applications and services function correctly in the test environment.
Monitor and Maintain: -Monitor the health and status of ongoing replication via the Azure portal. -Regularly update and refine recovery plans based on test results and environmental changes. -Review ASR logs and set up alerts to be notified of any issues.
