One-click deployment of Windows Virtual Machine and Entra Private Network Connector.
Microsoft Entra Private Network Connector serves as an essential piece of the solution for Entra Private Access, which provides a robust VPN alternative to enable secure access to all private applications for remote users. This solution template that enables users to seamlessly deploy a windows virtual machine with a pre-installed Entra Private Network Connector through a simpler managed model. It offers simplified experience through automation that eliminates the need for manually installing and registering a connector and improves the ease of authentication during the connector set up process. Few Important Notes:
1. Template requires an access token offline to register the connector. Look at a PowerShell script to acquire token at the Get-Token Documentation link. You shouldn't have Private Connector already running on machine where you are running script.
2. This template allows to deploy Connector on Azure platform only.
3. Template allows you to register with either Username/Password or Access Token. If your Entra Tenant is enabled with MFA, access token is the only viable option.
Pre-Requisites:
Valid Microsoft Entra Account and Tenant 2. Valid Azure Account
Instructions:
1. Get the Entra Tenant ID: Login to Microsoft Entra Admin Center. On left Side menu, Go to Identity->Overview. You can find the Tenant ID listed on the page.
2. Get the Entra Access Token: Go to Get-Token Documentation. Copy the Script and Save it to your local machine with .ps1 extension. Run the script through Elevated PowerShell Window or PowerShell ISE.
3. Click the Marketplace Link and Follow the prompts
Post Verification:
1. Login to Entra Admin Center, look for Global Secure Access->Connect->Connectors->default. Your connector should be listed here.
