R, is an integrated suite of software facilities for data manipulation, calculation and graphical display. Packaged together with Python within a Security Hardened Operating System, provides a Secure Environment for working with sensitive data and the execution of the most commonly used programming language for statistical computing and graphics, making it easy to work with data. It includes:

• Security Hardened Windows Operating System providing a security focused environment which helps in mitigating common threats such as insufficient authorisation, network & program attack threats
• R, an effective data handling and storage facility
• a suite of operators for calculations on arrays, in particular matrices
• a large, coherent, integrated collection of intermediate tools for data analysis
• graphical facilities for data analysis and display either on-screen or on hardcopy
• a well-developed, simple and effective programming language which includes conditionals, loops, user-defined recursive functions and input and output facilities

Set the admin/users password using the policy below to gain access to the VM.

• Not contain the user's account name or parts of the user's full name that exceed two consecutive characters
• Be at least 14 characters in length
• Contain characters from three of the following four categories:
• English Uppercase characters (A through Z)
• English Lowercase characters (a through z)
• Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
• Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)
