Monitor, troubleshoot, & optimize your Azure services, applications, & infrastructure with New Relic

The New Relic observability platform provides real-time insights into the performance and functionality of applications and infrastructure. It uses advanced data analytics and visualization to help businesses optimize their operations and deliver a better user experience. One of the key features of New Relic is its ability to collect and store large amounts of telemetry data from various sources, including web servers, mobile devices, and cloud platforms.

The Azure Native New Relic Service is based on Azure, Microsoft's cloud computing platform. This means that the service is hosted in Azure, providing customers with the world-class cloud platform’s scalability, reliability, and security.

Key benefits and capabilities of the Azure Native New Relic Service include:

New Relic built on Azure:

  • The New Relic platform, based on Azure, collects telemetry data for applications and infrastructure and will store that telemetry in Azure. Our customers will benefit from the Azure platform’s scalability, reliability, and security.

Rapid onboarding:

  • Establishing the New Relic integration with Azure involves setting up the connection through the Azure portal.

  • With the integration established, installing the infrastructure agent is achieved via Site Extensions through the Azure portal, allowing you to easily add the agent to your Azure virtual machines. Similarly, the Java and .NET language agents are installed via App Service Extensions through the Azure portal, allowing you to monitor the performance and functionality of your applications.

  • Once the integration and agents are set up and installed, they will start sending metrics, events, logs, and traces to New Relic, where they will be consolidated and analyzed to provide insights into the performance and behavior of your infrastructure and applications.

  • You can view and manage which Azure services are monitored in the Azure portal, allowing you to fine-tune your monitoring setup to meet your specific needs.

  • Included with New Relic are an additional 500+ quickstart integrations.

Marketplace advantages:

  • By purchasing New Relic through the Azure Marketplace, customers will retire Microsoft Azure committed contract (MACC) spend, which are long-term contracts that commit a customer to a certain level of Azure usage in exchange for discounted rates.

  • For joint Azure and New Relic customers, consolidated billing is a useful feature that allows them to see their Azure and New Relic charges on a single monthly bill. This will make it easier for customers to track and manage their spending.

Your cloud strategy requires an observability solution that guides your company’s decisions. With workloads potentially spread across on-prem and Microsoft Azure, you need to understand how your services are performing, including what levers you can adjust to achieve your goals for your own customers.

With the Azure Native New Relic service, keep your observability telemetry data in Azure and lower your Azure spending commitment with New Relic through the Azure Marketplace. Simplify your observability onboarding process by seamlessly managing New Relic and Azure integrations with agents installed through Site and App Service Extensions within the Azure portal.

With its full-stack observability, the New Relic platform can uniquely assist companies in adopting the cloud with a pricing model that enables instrumentation everywhere.
