NTT Managed ExpressRoute Service

NTT Ltd

NTT’s Azure ExpressRoute managed service is a cloud connectivity option that lets clients extend their networks into the Microsoft cloud over a dedicated private connection.

Cloud adoption is on the rise. Many Enterprises and SMBs are looking at ways to adopt Microsoft Azure Cloud services for business agility, flexibility along with other known benefits in support of their digital transformation. NTT has many years of experience transforming clients’ network for Cloud readiness. Cloud connectivity into Microsoft Azure can be achieved over the Internet or via private connection between the enterprise network and the Azure Public Cloud. Global connectivity over Internet paths is subject to peering and congestion issues. Clients that are concerned with business critical application performance over the Internet can connect to Azure Cloud services via a dedicated private connection. Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute is a cloud connectivity option that lets clients extend their networks into the Microsoft cloud over such a dedicated private connection.

NTT ExpressRoute managed service is offered to clients who value technical and managed services expertise to seamlessly integrate their network with Microsoft Azure Cloud services. The Microsoft Cloud interconnects with client’s WAN just like any other branch office with NTT’s Managed ExpressRoute Service. NTT delivers Managed ExpressRoute Service to clients by enabling private connections between NTT’s globally distributed Local Cloud Centers (LCC) and Microsoft Enterprise edge routers (MSEEs) at Microsoft’s ExpressRoute locations, also known as Azure peering or meet-me-locations.

NTT’s ExpressRoute managed service is available globally including Americas, Europe and APAC regions and can support client’s high speed requirement up to 100G. The ExpressRoute circuit consists of two connections between NTT LCC’s Provider Edge (PE) routers and MSEEs. Dual BGP is configured over each connection to provide automatic failover for resiliency. NTT PE will receive advertised subnets from the Microsoft client VNET routes over ExpressRoute and advertise it into the rest of the client network and vice versa.

The ExpressRoute managed service includes:
  1. Ordering of ExpressRoutes circuit in Azure
  2. Configuration of the ExpressRoutes circuit in Azure and on the customer's network
  3. Monitor and management of ExpressRoutes circuit
