Zensar Hybrid Cloud Backup-as-a-Service extends the on-premise backup estate to cloud with three Azure backup data tiers – snapshots, vaults and archives (LTR). It reduces maintaining unified access path to the data through Initial full estate backup, followed by incremental and transaction log backups. The solution leverages the following Azure features along with pre-existing on-premise backup vendor tools to provide a strategic hybrid cloud backup foundation - 

 

1) Azure LRS or GRS or ZRS: These redundancy options provide you with highly available data storage capabilities of at least 12 9s. 

2) Azure Recovery Services Vault (Management Plane): Vault provides an interface for the user to interact with the backup service. 

3) Azure Backup managed storage: Customer’s Azure subscription will have Blob, Block and File share storage for data plane backup.

4) Azure vNET and NSG: Always-on virtual network in the selected Azure region with multiple subnets. Inbound and outbound access for the applications, databases on    specific ports. Site-to-Site VPN between On-prem and Backup regions.
