Azure VMware Solution Design & Deploy: 4-Wk Proof of Concept
The Azure VMware Solution (AVS) Design and Deploy Service is intended to create a baseline AVS environment that is suitable for generic workloads or as a disaster recovery target.
AVS Proof of Concept Offer includes: • AVS Solution, Architecture, and Component overview • Discovery session to review current environment, uses cases, project/business objectives, and critical success factors. • Design workshop focused on SDDC architecture and network connectivity to on-premises environment. • High-level design diagram of AVS SDDC. • Deployment of AVS SDDC consisting of up to three (3) Azure hosts, one (1) VCSA, one (1) NSX-T Gateway. • Establish connectivity between on-premises environment and AVS SDDC via ExpressRoute or VPN. • Deployment and peering of Hybrid Cloud Extension (HCX) as the migration tool. • Migration of up to five (5) non-production Virtual Machines to demonstrate the migration from on-premises vSphere cluster to AVS vSphere cluster.
Outcomes • Speed to the Cloud: Take advantage of Cloud scalability and resiliency without changing workload formats or refactoring applications with Azure VMware Solution. • Maintain operational consistency by leveraging your existing VMware investments, skills, and tools, using familiar technologies including vSphere, HCX, NSX, and vSAN. • Architect for the Future: AVS integrates seamlessly with Azure Native Services to provide Azure native management, security, and services as you expand into Native services.
Assumptions • Customer is responsible for Azure consumption costs after 30 days. • Deployment of POC will be in a Non-Production Azure environment. • Customer has acquired an Azure subscription. • Enterprise AVS Architecture and Design is not included in POC.
