All cloud platforms require ongoing maintenance and management to keep them stable, secure, compliant, scalable and up-to-date. While Microsoft provide the support for the underlying Azure platform, the customer (and partners) are responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support for the architectures and platforms that have been derived using the cloud providers services and any 3rd party and open-source technologies deployed.

BlakYaks offer a modern managed service & SRE service for any Azure-hosted platform they have been involved in the design, build, configuration, coding or integration of. BlakYaks will also offer the same managed and SRE service for any Azure-hosted platform if they have assessed and signed-off or remediated and proven ready for mainstream operation using modern SRE methods. This service includes but is not limited to the following elements:

  • Management of the routine and periodic updates to the technologies being used to ensure the platform remains up to date at a minimum of version T-1
  • Ongoing support for all aspects of the platform as deployed
  • Monitoring and alerting for any incidents that may impact the service that the platform supports (e.g. performance degradation, service outage, service capacity issues)
  • Incident and response management processes (ITIL compliant)
  • Monthly and annual service reporting against baseline/agreed KPI's (key performance indicators)
  • On-going recommendations and creation of backlog entries to reduce platform TOIL over time (reducing admin and support tickets)
  • Support for customers business continuity processes as they relate to the services hosted on the Azure supported platform/s
  • Engineering / automation resource capacity ongoing to automate routine toil
