Disaster Recovery in Azure
Blazeclan offers an end-to-end backup and disaster recovery solution with Azure site recovery that’s simple, secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
Disaster recovery strategy is designed as per customer RTO and RPO requirement. Azure site recovery and backup service is used to setup DR. This covers enterprise workloads across hybrid and cloud. In the case of service disruption or accidental deletion or corruption of data, this helps recover business services in a timely manner. Scope of this engagement is limited to 20 servers.
TimeLine:
Week 1: Kick Off and Assessment
In this initial phase, our team will commence by setting clear expectations, outlining deliverables, establishing a timeline, and conducting a thorough assessment to understand application infrastructure, dependencies, recovery requirements in terms of RPO (Recovery Point Objective), RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and other governance needs. Team will also work through creating a DR plan and share target architecture design.
Week 2 & 3: Design review and DR setup/implementation
In this phase, team will review with various stakeholders the DR plan. Setup network connectivity and configuration required. Implement data replication with Azure site recovery and work through setting up the DR environment.
Week 4: Validation & Failover test
Team will identify two application and will work with customer IT teams to conduct mock failover tests and tune infrastructure parameters as needed to attain needed RTO / RPO needs. This will also include creating recovery guides which will be used by customer stakeholders to perform recovery exercise by themselves.
Week 5: Failback, Handover & Sign-off
In the final phase, customer support teams will execute/conduct DR exercise following the runbook and validate the DR environment and perform failback to production environment. Also, team will handover setup to customer operations team along with project documentation.
