Overview: CloudGate's Azure Migration Readiness Assessment offers a detailed analysis and strategic plan for transitioning to Azure. We examine your current infrastructure, workload performance, dependencies, and compatibility with Azure to identify optimization opportunities and cost savings, ensuring a smooth transition.

Engagement Details: The assessment spans from 1 week to 7 weeks depending on the infrastructure portfolio of the customer environment (SMBs vs. Enterprise). During this period, we follow phase wise approach.

Phase -I Kick-off Meeting

Establish the project team and roles. Define cloud migration goals and motivations. Define the scope and objectives of the cost assessment. Review existing documentation and understand the current infrastructure.

Phase -II

Inventory and Dependencies

Export the application inventory list. Analyze dependencies between workloads using Azure Migrate and share the dependency Map.

Cost Estimation

Use Azure Pricing Calculator to estimate monthly workload costs. Right-size VMs and select appropriate storage options.

Optimization Strategies

Identify cost optimization strategies for migration and post-migration. Leverage Azure Hybrid Benefit and Azure Reserved VM Instances for cost savings. Document migration steps, roles, and responsibilities.

Phase -III

Final Assessment and Validation

Validate the cost estimates and optimization strategies. Ensure alignment with business objectives and budget constraints. Outline the verification process of Pre-Migration, Actual Migration and Post Migration

Reporting & Roadmap Development

Compile the findings into a detailed Azure Migration Cost Assessment report. Develop a roadmap for migration based on the assessment findings. Provide migration plan using Azure Migrate: Migration tool. Share the Migration Monitoring approach.
