Azure Migrate Assessment

This project is an Azure Migrate On-Premises Assessment. The project leverages the Azure Migrate tool to provide the current state of the source environment, such as the number and type of servers, applications, databases, and workloads that need to be migrated, and the estimated cost and performance of the source environment.

FINCHLOOM will also review your project objectives, such as modernizing on-premises workloads, moving resources away from a current datacenter, reducing operational costs, and improving business outcomes.

At the end of the project you will have:

• An overview of the customer's IT environment.

• Assessment Report(s) based on workload requirements.

• A roadmap for cloud migration.

• An estimate of the time, cost, and resources required for the migration.

• Recommendations and Next Steps.

Engagement Approach

Finchloom's Azure Migrate Assessment will be approached as follows:

• Review your project objectives, along with security and Compliance Requirements

• Gather details of the current on-premises infrastructure, such as servers, networks, storage, and applications, as well as the desired Azure services and resources that will host the migrated workloads.

• Provision Azure Environment based on requirements gathering and best practices.

• Provision and Deploy Azure Migrate Tool and start discovery of on-premises workloads. The appliance should run from 1-2 weeks.

• Run Assessment, establishing assessment groups and an assessment for each group, which analyzes the readiness, sizing, and cost of migrating the servers to Azure.

• Presentation of findings from the project
