MCAS Rapid Deployment: 4-Day Implementation
Understand how MCAS addresses SaaS security challenges and get a snapshot of the SaaS Applications being used in your organisation. Configure MCAS to restrict access for an initial subset of users.
It’s a natural evolution: as organisations move to the cloud, the perimeter shifts, changing how users and data are protected. This can cause serious issues with organisations used to keeping everything on-premises, under lock and key.
In response, Software as a Service (SaaS) applications are relied upon to reduce costs, while the perimeter continues to widen and, in some instances, falls outside of the organisation’s control. To compound the issue, users are now able to start using applications without the IT team’s knowledge.
Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS) has been developed to directly address these challenges. MCAS ensures that Azure AD integrated SaaS applications are monitored and controlled, ensuring that data can only leave the application in a managed, approve way. MCAS also gives the opportunity to identify the SaaS applications users are consuming under the radar, returning control of the perimeter to the IT team.
What’s more, activity and access within other Microsoft products can be analysed by MCAS, and insightful alerts can be created. This can be based on user logon anomalies or accessing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and sensitive data. This can extend out to other supported applications. Restrictions to data can also be based on the device it is being accessed on.
In short, MCAS gives you much-needed visibility around the apps and activities you didn’t know about, allowing you to put strategic measures in place to protect against them.
