Rapid Cyberattack Assessment Workshop (Full - On-site)

Our Objective: To help customers identify potential cybersecurity risks and gain knowledge about technologies that can help mitigate those risks. This service helps customers enhance Microsoft Azure by providing recommendations on using Azure's built-in security tools, such as Azure Security Center, to monitor and respond to threats.

IT Partner Responsibilities

• Understand the Customer's Status vs Cyberattacks: Assist customers in identifying elements in their IT environment that may make it prone to rapidly spreading and potentially destructive cyberattacks (e.g., ransomware attacks).
• Cyberattacks Technical Security Readiness: Provide guidance, recommendations, and best practices on effectively using Microsoft technologies to mitigate security threats associated with rapid cyberattacks. Our approach includes recommendations on leveraging Azure Sentinel for advanced threat monitoring and response across the customer’s IT landscape.
• Create a Rapid Cyberattack Road Map: Deliver a prioritized and actionable roadmap for the customer with proposed actions based on discovered gaps, considering user impact and implementation costs. This roadmap includes guidance on using Azure’s conditional access policies and identity protection features to enhance cloud security.
• Map Microsoft Technology Capabilities and Partner Services: Relate capabilities to assessment findings, considering the customer's objectives and requirements.

Client Responsibilities

• Information: Accurate and timely information (within three business days or as mutually agreed).
• Access to People: Access to knowledgeable customer personnel, including business user representatives, and access to funding (if additional budget is needed for project scope).
• Infrastructure: A dedicated machine for installing and running the RCA tool.

Plan

Week One - Kickoff

• Kickoff meeting: Introduction to engagement objectives, flow, responsibilities, and governance.
• Provide and explain pre-assessment questionnaire.
• Explain RCA tool and provide "How to use RCA tool" documentation.

Weeks One and Two (Assess)

• Complete/return questionnaire and install/run RCA tool.
• Ensure availability of necessary resources.
• Review RCA tool results and begin roadmap planning.
• Finalize preparations for on-site visit.
• Second preparation call to confirm questionnaire and RCA tool output.
• Confirm attendance and on-site meeting dates.

Week Three

Day 1 - Whole-Day On-Site Workshop

• Definition of rapid cyberattacks.
• Review, explain, and discuss questionnaire and tool findings.
• Identify opportunities to leverage already deployed entitlements.
• Perform gap analysis and finalize roadmap.

Day 2 (Enable) - Whole-Day On-Site Workshop

• Roadmap delivery workshop.
• Solution briefing and Technical Readiness presentations.
• Engagement close-out.

Results

• Kickoff Presentation: Overview of engagement vision and objectives, requirements, next steps, and actions.
• Questionnaire: Information about the organization’s approach to exploit mitigation, attack surface reduction, securing privileged access, and business continuity.
• Rapid Cyberattack Assessment Tool Reports: Documented findings from the RCA tool, reviewed and discussed during the workshop.
• Rapid Cyberattack Roadmap: An actionable roadmap addressing gaps, mapping Microsoft technology capabilities, and Partner services to assessment findings.
