CentOS 8.3 Minimal

This Image has been built with a minimal profile including CentOS 8.3 official community repository. It has been customized by the engineering team to run on cloud platforms.

Fully optimized for automated use at scale, with a tiny package set and minimal security cross-section. Speed, performance, and stability are primary concerns for cloud developers and ops.

Built using CentOS 8.3 'Minimal Install' group of packages and a single OS disk. Both root partition and the corresponding file system are automatically extended if the selected disk size is bigger than the default one.

This CentOS 8.3 image, mainly used as a common base system on top of which other appliances could be built and tested. It contains just enough packages to run within Azure, bring up an SSH Server and allow users to login.

Developed using the low-level design on setting the security configuration of operating systems and applications in the Azure Cloud. Updated at launch with the up-to-the-minute security upgrades and patches making sure you are always running the most secure version available.
