Solution Assessment for Azure Application Modernization: 4 week

The Azure Application Modernization Assessment delivers an application portfolio rationalization against your business objectives and available migration strategies. After rationalizing your estate, up to 5 applications are selected for an in-depth analysis, which includes a deployable architecture design and migration plan to modernize those applications to a production ready PAAS solution in Azure. The Engagement is broken out into two key phases.

Concurrency's experts focus on enterprise development of Azure native components such as App Services, Serverless Compute, Event driven workloads, containers and more using .NET.

Phase 1: Application Estate Discovery & Rationalization • Executive Summary & Scope of project • Application estate rationalization including business priority and proposed migration strategy (5Rs; Rehost, Refactor, Rearchitect, Rebuild, Replace) • Identification of up to 5 applications for deeper analysis in Phase 2 Phase 2: Modernization Planning • Detailed analysis of up to 5 prioritized applications for modernization effort and time estimation planning • Creation of a detailed migration plan with timelines, roles and responsibilities (partner, customer, Microsoft) to modernize applications securely to a production ready PAAS environment • Reference architecture design focused on PAAS based services approach • Gap analysis of current governance principles (security, identity, cost, deployment acceleration) specific to applications being modernized • DevOps maturity evaluation for prioritized applications

While this Engagement is delivered in different phases, we need a consolidated final deliverable capturing the entire scope of the project: • Executive Summary • Customer Business Objectives & Project Scope • Ready + Govern Workshop including working prototypes, designs, and/or production-ready deliverables supporting landing zone. • Application Estate Rationalization (Categorized applications against 5-6R and business priority) • Identification and prioritization of 5 application candidates to move to Azure as an immediate next phase (includes Architecture recommendation & Migration Plan) • CAF Governance Analysis & DevOps Recommendations for prioritized applications
