Energy Management and Sustainability: 8-week Proof of Concept

Organizations want to reduce their costs of operations, carbon footprint and environment impact. One way of achieving this is to decrease the use of utilities such as electricity, water, gas, etc.

NTT DATA Services has collaborated with e-Magic and Microsoft to build an end-to-end Energy Management Solution. This solution is built in e-Magic’s TwinWorX Platform and is delivered in Microsoft Azure using Azure IoT native services and Microsoft products such as:

• Azure IoT Hub
• Azure Digital Twins
• Power BI

This solution includes 500+ system and equipment connectors, a 3D facility and asset Visualizer, and an analytics engine that detects issues, raises alerts and predicts operational states. Capabilities include:

• Centralized monitoring and control via Single Pane of Glass
• Interoperability through integration to data sources connecting things, spaces, people and processes
• Aggregation, storage, and analysis of data for alarming, reporting, fault detection and diagnosis (FDD)
• Predictive Analytics and Insights from stored and streaming IoT data
• Digital Twin Model using Digital Twins Definition Language (DTDL) and industry specific ontologies (e.g. RealEstateCore for smart buildings)

We deliver the initial energy efficiency and digital foundation for sustainability of a single facility, show value in approximately 8-12 weeks, and set up a future roadmap based on the organization’s sustainability goals.
Our consulting-led delivery makes sure that the projects are focused on creating ROI and ROV while achieving sustainability goals. In addition, we help the organization to build a sustainability culture into their business function and align sustainability goals with business goals.
