Azure Virtual Desktop - 2 week Proof of Concept
The ConvergeOne Azure Virtual Desktop POC is designed to get an organization up and running with VDI in Azure leveraging scalable Windows 10/11 persistent and multi-session desktops.
Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), formally known as Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD), provides the ability to scale remote desktop in Azure, on-demand, without worry about managing traditional VDI components. Azure Virtual Desktop provides a secure, scalable, globally accessible remote desktop environment that integrates seamlessly with Azure and Azure Active Directory. The ConvergeOne (C1) Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Proof of Concept is designed to get an organization utilizing Azure Virtual Desktop while leveraging next-gen Windows 10/11 persistent and multi-session desktops. The engagement starts by providing an overview of Azure Virtual Desktop and its capabilities, performing a readiness assessment, and documenting prerequisites to perform the build-out. Users are granted access to remote desktops or remote applications based on Azure Active Directory group membership. FSLogix and MSIX App Attach leveraging Azure Files are used to manage user profiles application containers.
Proof of Concept Activities include: • Gathering requirements for a successful Azure Virtual Desktop Proof of Concept. • Reviewing and verifying prerequisites. • Implementing Azure Active Directory group-based access. • Configure FSLogix profile containers with Azure File Shares. • Configure MSIX App Attach containers with Azure File Shares. • Deploy an Azure Virtual Desktop host pool, session hosts, and user assignments. • Implementing Logging with Azure Log Analytics. • Providing ss-built documentation and knowledge transfer to admin staff.
