CI/CD enforces automation of the Build-Test-Deploy, of applications thus streamlining the process of deploying new software to production. CI/CD compiles incremental code changes made by the development team and then links and packages them into software production deployable software deliverables. It makes use of testing automation to perform regression and functional testing and finally automates the deployment.
