Telstra's Sentinel Starter Kit is a product designed to introduce, establish, and provide a framework for working with Microsoft Sentinel.
The Core Sentinel Starter Kit configures the ingestion of data from standard sources, creates valuable dashboards, and onboards you into Azured support for three months to tune and gain a greater understanding of the service. It is designed to provide a solid foundation on which to build out your Microsoft SIEM, based upon Microsoft best practices.
Once the starter kit has been delivered, your business will have greater insight into system and user behaviours. This data can be used to improve the security posture of your organisation as well as provide an audit trail of activity and even help understand lateral movement across your organisation, in the unfortunate event of a breach.
The Core Sentinel Starter Kit provides a foundation for growth, providing pathways to enhanced incident response by Telstra Purple’s security experts, and including options for Telstra 24/7 SOC for incident response, delivering the right level of security at the right time.
The Core Sentinel Starter Kit implementation is divided into three (3) stages, encompassing the setup, configuration, tuning, and handover of the service to the customer.
