Window Virtual Desktop is an ideal desktop and app virtualization solution for rapid and remote deployment of new workspaces to users working from home or on the go.

Many organizations are increasingly moving towards remote work. While having a mobile workforce offers many advantages, it also creates requirements of easy access and seamless productivity for employees. An optimal mean of accomplishing this is by enabling Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD).

Purpose
VENZO’s kick-off for Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) helps you understand how the WVD functions can benefit your organization.

The following deliverables will be in place upon the 5-days WVD kick-off, you will have the following in place:

1. WVD Design documentation
   
2. WVD Proof of Concept
   
3. Project proposal
   

Prerequisites

1. An Azure AD Premium tenant that can be used for testing
   
2. An Azure subscription parented to the Azure tenant
   
3. Valid licenses:
   Microsoft 365 E3/A3/F3, E5/A5
   Business Premium Windows E3/A3, E5/A5 >br>

Approach to VENZO's 5-Days WVD kick-off

Day 1: Introductory Workshop
Definition of expectations and scope, introduction to the WVD concept, Azure environment review, and preparations for the PoC project plan and WVD design.

Day 2-4: Implementation & learning
Create WVD tenant, WVD Accounts, user groups and Azure resources. Link your AD to AAD with AD Connect – or install AADDS - and set up access rights. Deploy Host Pools showcasing Windows 10 multi-session Office 365 non-persistent desktops, Windows 10 Office 365 persistent desktops and Remote application functionality.

Day 5: Final proposal workshop
On the last day of the kickoff, we complete the final project proposal together.
