While most IoT software solutions are currently focusing on processing data on the edge or in the cloud, TeamViewer enhances this with the ability to remotely control edge devices. This gives the operator the ability to react to events generated from the data processed on these edge devices instantaneously from remote via a secure channel. To process events, such as detect machine failure or detect anomalies, TeamViewer IoT includes data processing on the edge as well as cloud-based predictive maintenance solutions. TeamViewer provides four different methods to access and operate edge devices: 1. RemoteAppControl to access HTML-based frontends on the edge device. Providing the ability to create a custom user interface or a digital twin of the device. 2. Remote Terminal to access the operating system 3. Remote Screen to view and also control screens attached to the devices 4. Port Forwarding to connect programs on the PC to the edge devices Note: Generate events in response to processed data.
