Our Calculator estimates how much you could reduce your carbon emissions through migration to cloud

Our Cloud Carbon Reduction Calculator instantly provides you with an estimate on how much you could reduce your carbon emissions through migrating your servers from on-premise data centres to public cloud. It takes just minutes and you simply enter some basic information about your current IT environment and we do the rest!


How it works

Working with sustainability experts who undertake environmental assessments of data centres across Europe and leveraging various academic studies, we jointly created a calculation model to estimate operational energy consumption. this model allows us to provide a rapid estimate of your on-premise environmental impact using energy consumption as a carbon proxy.


What we need from you

We know that gathering the data required for traditional data centre assessments can be quite time-consuming, so we've designed our model to work on simple inputs gathered quickly.

  • If you have a migration discover report in a support format you can upload this to the calculator, and we can ingest most of the information from this. Currently, our calculator only ingests reports created through Azure Migrate.
  • If you have a migration report from another cloud provider or do not currently have a migration report, we'll ask you for some high-level details about your existing estate that will help us estimate your carbon reduction.
