About the Image:

Now you can enjoy the quick and hassle-free configuration of your workspaces with Kockpit’s pre-configured images. MongoDB is a virtual machine image (VMI) created for Container (OS) that allows you to set up your machines within minutes.

This container includes mongo and mongo-express images that allows easy installation and setup of your workspaces. Mongo Express is an interactive lightweight Web-Based Administrative Tool to manage MongoDB Databases effectively. Using Mongo Express, you can add, delete or modify databases, collections, and documents. We can use tools like MongoDB Compass, MongoDB Atlas, etc.

For development, it is better to connect to an instance of MongoDB running inside a Docker container locally (instead of a cloud-hosted instance) to save resources. Both the images will be up and running as soon as the VM is started. The Ports used for mongo and mongo-express are 27017 and 8081, respectively.

How to Use the Image:

1. To use the image, click on the “Get it now” button located beneath the Kockpit logo.
   
2. Fill out the necessary details, and then you will be redirected to the Azure portal.
   
3. Then, click on the create button to create your virtual machine.
4. Fill out the details such as VM Name, region, username, and password, and click on review + create.
