All orders of Spot PC for MSP licenses must be completed by providing a valid NetApp partner ID at time of onboarding.
Spot PC is a managed, continuously optimized cloud desktop service that runs on Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365. The service is straightforward to deploy, secure for both end users and administrators. The key features of the service include:
- Managed cloud desktops for every use case- Spot PC delivers native cloud desktops based on Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365. The desktop choices range from task and shift workloads to personal VMs for knowledge and engineering work to GPU enabled workstations that support heavy graphics applications.
- Enhanced Security and Protection – Spot PC includes Defender for Cloud with enhanced malware protection and integration with enterprise identity and authentication management, automatic backup, and real time restore combined with data integrity and in-tenant data residency.
- Automation and Observability – Scalable, rapid onboarding and deployment automation and image lifecycle management reduces administration time. Cross-tenant visibility into session server health and user session performance reduces support burdens and decreases time to problem resolution.
- Predicable costs - Spot PC is a managed service with Tier 2/ Tier 3 support all for a fixed cost per user per month. Spot PC lowers the cost of support, enabling MSPs to focus on building profitable business relationships.
Spot PC desktop product choices include capabilities for a variety of workloads:
- Pooled desktops place multiple user sessions on shared virtual machines. Each user is allocated 25 GB of disk space on a shared volume.
- Personal 2 desktops offer a single user virtual machine with 2 vCPU and 8 GB of memory.
- Personal 4 desktops offer a single user virtual machine with 4 vCPU and 16 GB of memory.
- Pro GPU 1 desktops offer a single user virtual machine with 12 vCPU, 1 M60 GPU, and 112 GB of memory for a standard work month up to 220 hours.
- Pro GPU 2 desktops offer a single user virtual machine with 24 vCPU, 2 M60 GPUs, and 224 GB of memory for a standard work month up to 220 hours.
- Pro GPU 1 24/7 desktops offer a single user virtual machine with 12 vCPU, 1 M60 GPU, and 224 GB of memory for any number of usage hours in a month.
- Pro GPU 2 24/7 desktops offer a single user virtual machine with 24 vCPU, 2 M60 GPUs, and 224 GB of memory for any number of usage hours in a month.
- Spot PC for Windows 365 provides management of Windows 365 Cloud PCs that are licensed separately from Microsoft.
- Business Servers that are created, backed up, and managed as part of the Spot PC service.
All desktop virtual machines are based on Windows 10 or Windows 11 and are equipped with a 128 GB Standard SSD boot drive.
Additional disk space can be purchased in 1 TB increments for any of the Spot PC products.
