Eastwall Azure Landing Zone
Prepare for advanced data, application & AI workloads by deploying a right-sized, built for purpose Azure Enterprise Landing Zone ecosystem with Governance & Operational Controls
Confidently adopt cloud services with a fit-for-purpose Azure Landing Zone (ALZ) that sets up your cloud estate with a secure, operational, future-proof foundation. Eastwall’s ALZ engagement is aligned to Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) best practices to ensure your organization can adopt Azure and accelerate your cloud implementation.
Start small with blueprints, templates, and programmatic deployments with a simple hub/spoke topology or expand your design to a multi-region, scalable enterprise scaffold. Eastwall has the set of expertise and robust catalog of designs and templates to meet any need. We will tailor our material to meet industry and organizational requirements unique to you. We focus on many design areas, including (but not limited to) the items highlighted below:
Networking: Robust hub/spoke topology with datacenter & multi-cloud connectivity across one-to-many regions.
Security: Protect, monitor & gain visibility with resource-based security controls and modern Sentinel & Defender implementations. Take a zero-trust approach to your design.
Identity: Integrate with existing Azure Active Directory environments to deploy, access and manage your landing zone.
Governance: Create or use existing subscriptions to manage policies to meet & exceed compliance requirements, manage least privilege, and control cost & sprawl in your cloud estate.
Operations: Monitor, manage and gain visibility to the day-to-day operational controls of your cloud estate with tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Recovery Service Vault, and backup policies.
Working with a highly certified, knowledgeable Microsoft practice lead, your Azure Landing Zone engagement includes:
Week 1 - Detailed technical review using independent reviews, team questionnaires, structured & prepared workshops, and Microsoft-recommended provided tooling.
Week 2 - Calibration and Alignment sessions with your team on business processes & technical opportunities for the design, topology, governance, network architecture and required security/identity components.
Week 3 & 4 – Automated, templated deployment on Microsoft Azure using Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) blueprints and Azure DevOps automation pipelines. Eastwall documents the configuration, implements appropriate governance controls, then layers in operational monitoring, alerting and policies. We help then deploy applications on cloud, whether that is a simple virtual machine-based workload or a complex platform-as-a-service multi-tier application.
Eastwall offers project approaches for your Azure Landing Zone engagement review that span 4 to 8 weeks, depending on complexity and scale, applications moved into Azure, and whether the landing zone is net-new (Greenfield) or an existing (Brownfield) remediation. Throughout the engagement, Eastwall dives deep into each area of Microsoft’s CAF methodology. We upskill & train your team throughout, as well as provide robust documentation, to ensure your long-term adoption and readiness to migrate future workloads onto the Azure platform.
With a detailed technical assessment & go-forward plan, implemented Azure solution, and a backlog of continued improvements, Eastwall helps leading organizations fortify their cloud approach brick by brick.
