Data Analytics in Azure 10-Week Implementation

User Story: My current on-premises BI system is cumbersome and slow. I want to move to a modern cloud platform, but I'm unsure of the best strategy and where to start.

Deliverables:

1. Connect on-premises environment to Azure (1)
2. Assess current data warehouse situation
3. Discover SSRS, reporting, and on-premises BI tools situation
4. Discuss Azure pricing and pick the best short- and long-term strategies
5. Create an Azure Landing Zone in Microsoft Fabric for data and analytics
6. Discuss data warehouse/lake architecture and the best approach for full data-to-cloud migration or virtualization (short- and long-term)
7. Initiate data migration/replication/virtualization to the cloud
8. Pick one data domain and business/enterprise data model for a pilot, along with corresponding report(s)
9. Create a clean star schema data model for the selected domain in Microsoft Fabric
10. If possible (dependent on Azure AD/Azure Entra implementation), create matching access groups for future self-service consumption for business users
11. Create the first Power BI reports within the selected data domain
12. Two half-day training sessions for business or IT users on consuming data in Microsoft Fabric with Power BI, or one half-day training on Power BI fundamentals

Assumptions:
