The DevOps Assessment aims to evaluate an organization's ability to implement DevOps practices and tools effectively.
Noesis is an IT consultancy company with DevOps engineers to lead you through your DevOps journey. Our services help customers get started with or extend their use of Azure by providing expertise, capabilities, and know-how that we have in-house or customers need to improve. That is, our services support customers in getting started with or extending their use of Azure.
We provide a 10-day DevOps assessment focused on identify and determine your company DevOps maturity level. The model is intended to provide a roadmap for your organization to follow as you progress on your DevOps journey, and to help identify areas where improvements can be made. Based on your technology stack and the current DevOps state we will provide you a report with the findings and your next steps, no matter if it’s Azure DevOps, GitHub or others.
The DevOps Assessment aims to evaluate an organization's ability to implement DevOps practices and tools effectively. This can include:
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) • Automated testing and deployment • Monitoring and logging • Agile methodologies
The assessment typically includes a review of existing processes, technology stack, and organizational culture to identify areas for improvement. The findings and recommendations can help organizations optimize their DevOps practices, enhance collaboration and communication, and ultimately improve their software delivery process.
Steps:
Day 0: Preparation: Define the scope of the assessment and gather information about the current system and processes in place. Identify key stakeholders and invite them to participate in the assessment process.
Day 1-2: Interviews: Conduct interviews with key stakeholders to gather information about the current state of the system and processes. Identify areas of improvement and pain points.
Day 3: Observation: Observe the current processes in action, including deployments, incident management, and change management. Identify areas of improvement and pain points.
Day 4-5: Review documentation: Review all relevant documentation, including system architecture diagrams, code repositories, and incident management procedures. Identify areas of improvement and pain points.
Day 6-9: Report: Prepare a report that summarizes the findings of the assessment and provides recommendations for improvement.
Day 10: Review: Review and present the report with key stakeholders and obtain feedback.
