ModPaaS provides a collaborative platform for legacy application modernization
ModPaaS facilitates customer participation during a mainframe legacy application modernization project by providing access to Modern Systems-developed solutions in a collaborative manner.
ModPaaS supports various application modernization assessment and conversion related tasks. Using ModPaaS, your team will be able to:
- Classify and catalog components by language type, e.g. COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, JCL, etc.
- Categorize components for a specific disposition strategy, such as rehosting COBOL and Natural, automatically converting COBOL and other languages to Java or C#, re-engineering COBOL to Java-based microservices
- Identify missing components for resolution and to ensure you have a complete asset; document all unused, unreferenced, and duplicated components, thereby reducing scope
- Perform interactive code analysis, isolate business rules to aid in the identification and definition of microservices, and extract source code to be modernized by Modern Systems
ModPaaS can be used at your own pace in a completely self-service manner, with assistance from Modern Systems specialists, or in a fully managed approach (similar to a traditional project engagement).
