Employing a structured and tailored approach, our meticulous process for migrating from on-premises to the Azure platform is comprised of clearly defined steps, as detailed below:

Discovery:

• Identify and catalog all the servers, applications, and associated dependencies in your on-premises environment.
• Understand the interdependencies between different components to plan for their migration together.
• This phase involves inventorying hardware, software, and configurations to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current environment.

Assessment:

• Assess the suitability of the servers and applications for migration to Azure.
• Evaluate performance, compatibility, and dependencies to determine the most appropriate migration approach.
• Identify any potential challenges or roadblocks that may arise during the migration process.
• Use tools like Azure Migrate which can assess on-premises environments and provide recommendations for Azure resources.

Planning:

• Develop a detailed migration plan based on the findings from the assessment phase.
• Determine the target Azure services and resources for migration, considering factors such as performance requirements, cost, and scalability.
• Plan for network connectivity, security, and compliance considerations in the Azure environment.
• Establish timelines, resource allocations, and contingency plans to ensure a smooth migration process.

Replication:

• Set up replication for the on-premises servers to Azure using tools like Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
• Replicate data and configurations to Azure while maintaining synchronization between on-premises and Azure environments.
• Ensure that replication is configured according to your recovery point objectives (RPOs) and recovery time objectives (RTOs) to minimize downtime during failover.

Test Failover:
