The VMSS provide elastic scaling and spreads deployment of KNIME Executors across Azure Availability Zones providing reliable workflow execution for a KNIME Server instance. The KNIME Executor(s) require a KNIME Server Large to operate. KNIME Server Large BYOL for Azure can be used with the KNIME Executors on the Azure cloud platform. KNIME Executors can also be purchased to supplement an on-premise KNIME Server Large installation. KNIME Executors for Azure are purchased on a Pay As You Go (PAYG) basis. KNIME Executors do the work of executing workflows for KNIME Server. Executors can be run in an Azure VM Scale Set for elastic scaling and reliability. KNIME Executors on Azure are not standalone, but must be used in conjunction with KNIME Server Large.
