Managed ExpressRoute with Megaport MCR

Vandis

With ExpressRoute, your organization can establish a secure connection to Azure by using Megaport’s Cloud Router to enable private Routing-as-a-Service for a multi-cloud environment.

Executive Summary

Does your organization have a stable, secure connection to Microsoft’s Azure datacenters? ExpressRoute is an option that allows for the creation of a private connection between your organization’s on-prem infrastructure and the cloud. Avoiding the public internet, ExpressRoute provides a more reliable connection with faster speeds and lower latencies than a typical connection and is backed by a Microsoft SLA.

Powered by Megaport’s Cloud Router (MCR), this Managed Service offering delivers private network Routing-as-a-Service between multi-cloud environments and allocates public IPs to access Microsoft Peering Services on your behalf. There’s no need for purchasing a license or hardware; just a simple click and deployment will occur within minutes. Together, Managed ExpressRoute and MCR provide the services to ensure a secure and agile network connection for a complex multi-cloud environment.

Offering Description

Vandis engineers will conduct a network planning session and launch Megaport MCR. Once established, a working ExpressRoute circuit connection will be developed and our team will configure virtual circuit connectivity and BGP peering. Vandis will provide ongoing help desk support, monitoring, and management of ExpressRoute and MCR for outages or degraded service with support from Microsoft Services as needed. Please note – for premise-to-MCR connectivity, Megaport’s Cross Connect is required. A user will order a physical Megaport and connect to an MCR by deploying a VXC attachment.
