Data Strategy is a key part of our Data Consulting offering. We work with our customers to develop and bring to life Data Strategy that will accelerate your data and Microsoft Azure cloud journey, bespoke to you.

Our Data Strategy Consultancy offering helps our customers to achieve the following:

• Answer the question “How do we use our data to achieve our business goals?”
• Work collaboratively with our teams to create and/or validate and refresh existing Data Strategy, including utilizing the Microsoft tech stack.
• Understand your business needs and design an implementation roadmap across the domains of people, process, data and Microsoft technology.
• We work with you to bring the strategy to life across your organization, gaining buy-in from stakeholders at all levels and utilizing Microsoft best practice.
• We take a holistic view across each domain and understand that the dependencies and relationships between them all is critical.

Our approach to Data Strategy development is as follows:

1. Current State Assessment Understand vision and identify pain points, use cases and current capabilities/infrastructure.

Methodology:

2. Target State Definition Articulate the vision and strategy to deliver against the required outcomes

• Gap assessment between current and target state
• Use case prioritization exercise
• Define the required journey to utilize Microsoft Azure

Outcomes:

• Gap Analysis
• Use case prioritization
• High level view of the proposed Azure architecture, processes, people and data

3. Roadmap Development

• Define target state activities roadmap that includes short-, medium- and long-term initiatives.

Methodology:

• Define activities and associated timeframes
• Define ownership of activities and interaction model
• Implementation cost and resource estimates.
• Define skills requirement for Microsoft tech stack.

Outcomes:

• Agreed, prioritized, and achievable roadmap to realize the organization's vision with timescales, effort estimates and indicative costs.
• Ownership/organizational model

There are three key outputs which are produced at the end of our Data Strategy Assessment

1. Current state assessment:

• Detailed analysis following current state assessment. This includes an assessment of the existing technology and data landscape, people and processes and where current constraints lie.

2. Target State Definition & Roadmap

• Target State – detailed analysis of the business outcomes that the data strategy will enable and also consolidate it at an executive level. These will incorporate views of the key design considerations and guiding principles of the future target state. A proposed view of the future technology landscape on Microsoft Azure Cloud, operating model, data and use cases that will support the business outcomes
• Data transformation roadmap – This output provides an overarching roadmap view of the business and data initiatives that will progress the business on the journey to achieving the desired target state. This is followed by a detailed view of each of these deliverables.

3. Syndication & Finalize Output

• Data Strategy - Current state, target state and the Data Transformation Roadmap are combined into a single Data Strategy document with a number of key next steps identified as a call to action for the business.
