ASA for Azure - Implementation

Application Service Automation (ASA) for Azure is a modular framework which can be applied in the Application Management Services space to provide monitoring and detection, automated resolutions to incidents as well Continuous Integration & Delivery by leveraging Cloud Native and server-less features of Azure Cloud Platform.

As more enterprises adopt cloud platforms for hosting applications, it is important to have a strategy to monitor the applications. This enables the application management team to respond quickly to issues that arise. DXC Technology’s approach to monitoring and automation, known as Application Service Automation (ASA), includes a modular framework that covers the entire closed-loop automation cycle from automatic detection to correction.

Application Service Automation (ASA) for Azure is a modular framework comprising of 4 key pillars as below:

1. autoDetect: Real-time monitoring of applications to proactively detect incidents and problems based on Azure Application Insights and Azure Monitor
2. autoResolve: Automatic resolution of incidents, problems and service requests without human intervention based on Azure Logic Apps
3. autoImprove: Ongoing analysis and continuous improvement of application code and code deployment based on Azure DevOps
4. autoManage: Automation of service management processes and analytics enables prescriptive applications management based on DXC custom built CASA and Silver Dashboard Modules.
