SAP Migration Readiness: 2-Wk Assessment

It is better to measure twice and cut once. Modern computing, whether on-premises or in the cloud, is a complex process. When the decision has been made to migrate your SAP workloads to the Azure platform, you will massively lower risk through proper technological assessment. Our migration readiness assessment is prepared based on your organizations requirements and created to optimize the technology consumed by your enterprise, all within an expected duration of two weeks.

We start collecting the information with the customer:

• Current landscape: server list and its characteristics, growth of the last years, versions of DB, OS , application , DR, RTO and RPO.
• Locations and user types that work with your SAP platforms.

The data is processed by our experts and with their initial understanding, we will be running a set of workshops:

• Technical: for checking each SAP solution (AS IS) and identify their future requirements (TO BE)
• Business: gather expectations for the cloud Migration: Time to Market, resilience, operational efficiency, elimination of obsolete hardware, cost reduction, …

The Intake workshops are sessions with the proper customer responsible and last between 2-3 hours, which is the minimum for a technical and a business approach. Depending on the organization the technical is divided in some additional blocks: SAP, operations or network and security, for including the proper customer teams.

With all previous information we create a report that will provide:

• High Level Architecture with the Certified SAP and Azure platform
• Define the Azure foundations for the SAP platform
• Migration strategy per SAP application
• Infrastructure Cost Estimate
