Windows Virtual Desktop: 1-month proof of concept

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) allows an endpoint device to connect with an organization’s system and applications via a network in the same way as if the user were connecting locally. The growth of Cloud deployments and the rapid changes in the way people work (bring-your-own-device and the rise of the remote workforce) has accelerated the adoption of VDI technology. Microsoft has aggressively entered the market with its Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) on Azure, a comprehensive desktop app virtualization service running in the Cloud. WVD is the only VDI that delivers simplified management, multi-session Windows 10, optimizations for Office 365 ProPlus, and support for Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
