Depending on your BIG-IP VE license, you may deploy some or all of the following services:

• BIG- IP ASM - WAF protection for applications, securing against a breadth of application layer threats, including L7 DoS, bot attacks, and all OWASP top 10 attack types. Provides regulatory compliance with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, FIPS 140-2 and more.
• F5 Advanced WAF – Additional WAF protection, providing the full suite of BIG-IP ASM capabilities as well as bot mitigation for mobile apps, API protection, credential theft/abuse protection and behavioral analytics to block automated threats.

Combining BIG-IP VE with F5 Container Ingress Services (free & open-source) delivers advanced application services to container environments including Kubernetes.

Select a BIG-IP VE image with 2 boot locations if you expect to upgrade to later versions of BIG-IP VE in the future. If you intend to create a new instance when a new version of BIG-IP VE is released (pave and nuke approach), choose an image with 1 boot location.

This is a BYOL (Bring Your Own License) BIG-IP VE, and can operate using perpetual, subscription or Enterprise Licensing Agreement (ELA) licenses.

To ensure the highest level of protection for your systems and data, we strongly recommend that you update to the latest released build in each version.
