Jellyfin is the best solution for immersive control over managing and streaming your media.
Debian 10 with Jellyfin Streaming Server
The Jellyfin project is a powerful and flexible software media server designed to allow you to organize, manage, and share digital media files to networked devices. It is an alternative to the proprietary Emby and Plex to provide media from a dedicated server to end-user devices via multiple apps.
Jellyfin is a fully functional dedicated server, therefore it has no tracking, phone-home, or central servers collecting your data. Developers believe in keeping software open and transparent, and anything that might be collected (crash logs, etc.) is opt-in only.
Here are the key features Jellyfin boasts:
- Movies: Hold your entire movie collection, with a beautiful collection of posters
- TV Shows: Collect your TV Shows, and have them automatically organized by season
- Music: Enjoy your music collection. Make playlists, and listen on the go
- Live TV and DVR: Watch Live TV and set automatic recordings to expand your library.
Jellyfin is extensible, and optional third-party plugins exist to provide additional feature functionality. The project hosts an official repository, however, plugins shouldn’t necessarily be hosted in the official repository to be installable.
Virtual Pulse is happy to provide you with this carefully pre-configured Debian 10 with Jellyfin Streaming Server, cloud-hardened for a great performance in AWS environments. Click, deploy & enjoy!
