Functional open-source proxy utility
Squid Auth on Red Hat 8.6 Minimal
Squid Auth is a caching proxy server for HTTP, FTP, and many other protocols. A proxy server for HTTP is a program that makes HTTP requests on behalf of a client program (be it a browser or other software). It helps to reduce the load and control access to various sites in the network.
Squid Auth provides wide possibilities for user authentication based on various options: NCSA, LDAP, MSNT, NTLM, PAM, SMB, SASL, etc. For authorized groups, it is possible to apply different settings for access control and QoS (delay pools).
Clients can be authenticated and authorized via Kerberos, Ldap, NTLM, IP and Radius. It is possible to build interaction with Microsoft Active Directory servers by authenticating clients - domain members using the Kerberos protocol, and then authorizing domain group members using LDAP in transparent mode (the user enters his password only when registering in the domain).
Download and install our Squid Auth on Red Hat 8.6 Minimal, and get various functionality for control and improvement of the internet connection.
