Qiskit is an open source framework for quantum computing. It provides tools for creating and manipulating quantum programs and running them on prototype quantum devices on IBM Q Experience or on simulators on a local computer. Python is a must prerequisite for understanding Quantum programs as Qiskit itself is developed using Python.

To verify the Qiskit installation, please Follow the steps below:

  • 1) Click on the start.
  • 2) search for "Anaconda3(64-bit)"folder and expand a folder "Anaconda3(64-bit)".
  • 3) Open Anaconda Prompt.
  • 4) Run the following command to check the installed version of Qiskit: pip show qiskit
  • 5) Run following command to check the installed version of qiskit-ibm-runtime: pip show qiskit-ibm-runtime
