spaCy is a free, open-source Python library that provides advanced capabilities to conduct natural language processing (NLP) on large volumes of text at high speed. To verify spaCy is installed on the machine please follow the steps below, become a "super user" and change the directory path to "/root".

sudo su : To become a "super user".

cd /root/ : To change the directory path to "/root".

ls : To see the list of directories, spaCy is installed in virtual environment 'my_env'.

source my_env/bin/activate : To activate the virtual environment 'my_env'.

pip show spacy : To check the installed version of spaCy.

python3 -m spacy info : To check the installed version of spaCy.

deactivate : To come out of the virtual environment 'my_env'.

spaCy is installed in the "my_env" virtual environment, in "/root/" directory. To impot spacy, activate python3 shell and run the command "import spacy".
