The Arqit NetworkSecure Standalone Adaptor is a software application that interfaces with network devices e.g. firewalls or applications (Devices) that support the ETSI 014 specification for external key retrieval. Devices are able to make on-demand, out-of-band requests for symmetric encryption keys to connected Standalone Adaptors using standard ETSI 014 REST API calls. Arqit keys can be used to test the establishment of encrypted data communications between Devices e.g. a point-to-point IPSec VPN link created between firewall gateways based on the IKEv2 key agreement protocol. An encrypted tunnel is formed using symmetric keys retrieved from connected Adaptors. The NetworkSecure - Standalone Adaptor provides static symmetric keys to Devices using the standard ETSI 014 protocol and is suitable for integration testing purposes only.
